There’s only one thing worse than a rainy day: spending a sunny day indoors.

Convenience killed the smiley

When websites and mail programs started to automatically substitute sequences of characters into images they essentially killed a unique experience: one needed to tilt their head to see what the other meant, which often led to a surprise reaction and promoted creativity.
